Twenty passengers travelling by a bus had a lucky escape when the bus engulfed in flames at Chicalim junction on Wednesday evening. Those escaped passengers were going for a wedding ceremony at Curca from Vasco. The ill- fated bus when reached at Chicalim junction from Vasco in between 7.30 to 7.45 pm, the driver noticed some spark due to short circuit, which further led to fire. The passengers onboard immediately alighted from the bus and had a lucky escape. The Vasco fire personnel immediately rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control.
