Mount Litera Zee School, Goa inaugurated the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) in their premise on Wednesday, 23rd February, 2022 at the hands of Mirza Javed Beg, Director of National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research in the presence of Principal Sandhya Venkatesh. The Guest of Honour was Ritesh Handa, Chief Executive Officer, Zee Learn Ltd., Mumbai and the Special Guest was Alina Saldanah (Ex MLA Cortalim Constituency). The ATL is an initiative of Niti Aayog, Government of India. Mount Litera Zee School, Goa has been allotted the ATL lab after a careful scrutiny across multiple applications across India. ATL was introduced with a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination of a child; and inculcate skills with design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning and physical computing. ATL is a workspace where your child can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills, which will give your child a chance to work with tools and equipment such as science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers – empowering the concept of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. In order to foster inventiveness among students, MLZS Goa will conduct different activities ranging from regional and national level competitions, exhibitions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of products, lecture series etc. Mount Litera Zee School, Goa is part of a network of 130+ schools across India and is well known for quality education and world class infra structure which boasts of a swimming pool, football ground, squash court amongst other and excellent academic results in class X and XII where their students scored 98% and 96% in the 2021 board exams.
