Shifting of two major government offices including deputy collector and Mormugao mamlatdar from Mormugao Municipal Council building to Ravindra Bhavan at Baina have raised eyebrows as both the offices are yet to pay lakhs of dues to the occupier during the last several year’s. Sources have disclosed that offices of the deputy collector and mormugao mamlatdar are alleged to be defaulters and are about to pay lakhs of amount to the Mormugao Municipal Council in form of rent.
It is uncertain that both the offices will pay rent to the Ravindra Bhavan after occupying their premises as they have not paid their long pending dues to the Mormugao Municipal Council. Ravindra Bhavan is presently under financial crises and are lacking for funds.
