The church of our lady of Candelaria, Baina, vasco observed the lenten rite of “Santos Pasos” , which suggests “Holy Steps”, by enacting a ‘depiction of the ordeal’ and ‘contemplation on the sufferings of Jesus’ as he journeyed to mount Calvary where he was crucified. The church confraria create a scene of Jesus in Gethsamane with a holy mass and is observed by this church on the first Sunday of Lent.
