Airports Authority of India (AAI) is increasing the capacity of Goa International Airport at Dabolim to enable it to handle 1.3 crore passengers per year by 2023. The 145 crores expansion project scheduled to be completed by March 2023, Goa airport director Gagan Malik, said. He also said that while the terminal presently has a capacity for 80 lakh passengers, it actually handles 90 lakh. He while commenting on the multilevel parking facilities said that the same would by operational any moment as all clearance have been recieved. Malik also informed that the Ongoing charter season Witnessed steep downfall due to Covid situation abroad and hopefully situation will improve by next season
